DID YOU KNOW?

In addition to nearly 3,800 MW of Power Africa-supported renewable energy added to the grid since 2013, Power Africa also works directly with transmission and distribution utilities to reduce energy losses. These and other energy efficiency measures help countries power economies and livelihoods with fewer resources. Using less is climate-smart!

POWERING POTENTIAL

Expanding access to energy for productive uses improves livelihoods. Across sub-Saharan Africa, Power Africa and our partners are powering potential by delivering clean, reliable electricity to millions of people and businesses. For three entrepreneurs in rural Rwanda, the local health clinic is an anchor point for community-wide electrification. Meet Violette, Gedeon, and Sarah and learn how access to reliable and clean electricity is recharging their businesses and creating opportunities for growth.
