This Call to Action received input from country delegations, CHWs, and the leadership of key global and regional institutions and is currently open for input from all participants, including the USAID delegation. The Monrovia Call to Action is a mutual commitment to fund, scale, and strengthen community health programs and an integral part of primary health care for realizing Universal Health Coverage. 

Community Health Roadmap

The Community Health Roadmap’s mission is to mobilize new resources to support national priorities for community health, and to support the more efficient use of existing resources through stronger collaboration, coordination and alignment of donor investments.

The Joint Statement on Primary Health Care Implementation outlines that as international organizations that support the Global Conference on Primary Health Care, we will work through relevant country-level modalities 1 and national plans to develop national and local capacity to implement the goals of the Astana Declaration on Primary Health Care.

Achieving universal health coverage (UHC) requires contributions from public and private health institutions to meet a set of standards that collectively indicate high performing health care. To help deliver on this aspirational goal, we work together to create high quality health care that is Accountable, Affordable, Accessible, and Reliable.

CHW Assessment and Improvement Matrix (PDF-2018)

To support the operationalization of quality CHW program design and implementation, USAID, UNICEF, the Community Health Impact Coalition, and Initiatives Inc. have updated and adapted the Community Health Worker Assessment and Improvement Matrix (CHW AIM) Program Functionality Matrix [12]. This tool can be used to identify design and implementation gaps in both small- and national-scale CHW programs, and close gaps in policy and practice. 

HRH2030 (PDF)

HRH2030 supports countries in developing the sufficient, fit-for-purpose and fit-to-practice health workforce needed to end preventable child and maternal deaths (EPCMD), achieve an AIDS-Free Generation (AFG), protect communities from infectious diseases (PCID), achieve the Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA), and reach the goals of Family Planning 2020 (FP2020). The program is funded by USAID and the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).
