Visual field guides are intended to support field monitoring of select activities by development professionals, including those who are not environmental specialists. They are photo-based, simple, yes-no checklists that identify the most typical, significant environmental design and management problems in a set of typical sectoral activities.
Advisory: The Visual Field Guides are advisory only. They are not official USAID regulatory guidance or policy and do not necessarily assure compliance with USAID environmental procedures or host country environmental requirements. They are not a substitute for detailed sources of environmental management practices or requirements.
