How can your company help fight COVID-19 in Vietnam?

Depending on the specific intervention, private sector assistance could take the form of: 

  • Expertise and skill sets (e.g., supply chain, data analytics, marketing/communications, technology and innovation) 
  • Use of company assets (e.g., locations for vaccinations, equipment)  
  • Collaboration with and/or funding of local or international organizations undertaking COVID response programs 
  • Provision of funding or donated items to government entities

Country-Specific Needs

Increasing Vaccine Access & Delivery

Logistics, Warehousing, and Infrastructure 

  • Support outsourcing of, or provide donation for, cold-chain maintenance, supplies, and equipment
  • Improve existing vaccine delivery infrastructure to increase vaccinations in remote/rural areas

Vaccine distribution planning and sites of delivery

  • Provide technical assistance or funding for distribution of vaccines and operational costs; sponsor sites in key locations around the country; support site setup (e.g., awnings, handwashing stations, chairs/tables)
  • Support mass vaccination and mobile clinics, especially in workplace settings
  • Provide expertise for provincial-level micro-planning and training of health staff on vaccine availability
  • Provide technical assistance to the Ministry of Health on improving last-mile vaccine delivery

Staffing, Training, and Administration

  • Provide additional human resources at vaccine administration sites (e.g., volunteers)

Data and Monitoring

  • Provide management or IT support for logistical challenges to government and/or NGOs handling vaccinations

Incentives and Messaging

  • Assist with demand generation for vaccines via distribution of targeted communications by key influencers and social media
  • Provide branded/message-focused materials for health workers to create awareness (e.g., t-shirts, arm bands, umbrellas, aprons, head scarfs, vests)

Expanding Availability of Tests, Therapeutics, and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Supply Availability and Logistics

  • Support procurement of, or provide donation for, molecular diagnostic tests, rapid diagnostic tests, other diagnostic equipment, oxygen supplies (e.g., ventilators, medical equipment), and PPE
  • Provide assistance to workers, families, and/or communities by  paying, or subsidizing, COVID-19 testing fees or providing robust testing services within factory/community settings 
  • Support procurement of oxygen support systems and development of oxygen supply management systems for provinces in need

Staffing, Training, and Administration

  • Scale-up training courses on COVID-19 procedures and protocols for frontline healthcare workers and expand trainings for volunteers/students 
  • Provide training and expertise at the hospital level in areas such as infection, prevention, control, and COVID testing practices


  • Assist in food security measures for COVID-19 patients and their families
  • Provide retraining for displaced workers
  • Build capacity of small and medium-enterprises to increase their participation in supply chains and to drive efficiencies and improvements in communication across supply chains
