Taking into account the progress achieved by the Alliance for the Amazon against Covid-19 project, as well as the social and economic challenges posed to vulnerable and indigenous populations in the Amazon region, USAID proposes to continue and deepen the strategies initiated in the year 2020 to continue promoting the recovery and economic resilience of the Peruvian Amazon population.

The activity seeks to guarantee the sustainability of biobusinesses in native communities of the provinces of Atalaya, Coronel Portillo and Padre Abad, in the Ucayali region, through sustainable processes and practices, access to inclusive markets, and the strengthening of a legal business culture, seeking to contribute to greater food security and economic growth with a market focus and resilience to face the climate emergency.
