The Development Information Solution (DIS) is USAID’s web-based, Agency-wide portfolio management system. DIS provides a single location to report, approve, and track programmatic data across USAID, and ensures USAID can collect high-quality data to use for reporting, highlighting progress, and telling the story of the Agency’s programming.

Benefits of DIS include:

  • Streamlining work for data collection and performance reporting.
  • Enabling Implementing Partners to report and USAID staff to manage and track data in one place.
  • Helping USAID to ensure consistency and to standardize indicator information across USAID’s activity portfolios to promote data quality and inform analysis.
  • Reducing duplication and improves accessibility of data across the agency.

An Introduction to DIS and the Partner Portal

DIS is designed to capture and log supporting information associated with USAID-funded activities. Implementing partners can perform the following tasks through the DIS Partner Portal:

  • View activity details.
  • Record performance monitoring data for assigned USAID activities.
    • Specific examples include indicator baselines, targets and actual results, location data, activity description narratives, and other supporting documentation specifically related to activities and indicators.
  • Submit photos or documents in support of activities (i.e., digital artifacts).
  • Generate reports to view an activity’s indicators and submission status.

Additional Resources

For questions specific to their activity, implementing partners should contact their Agreement Officer’s Representative (AOR) or Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
