David Rush

David Rush is currently USAID’s Foreign Service Deputy General Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel. Mr. Rush previously served as the Assistant General Counsel for Africa. He has also served as the Resident Legal Officer (RLO) for Belarus, Malawi, Moldova, Ukraine, and Zambia.

Prior to joining USAID, Mr. Rush worked for the law firm Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen, and Hamilton in New York. He is a two time recipient of Legal Aid Society’s Pro Bono Publico Award for Outstanding Pro Bono Service.

Mr. Rush received a JD from the University of Pennsylvania and an MA and BA from the University of Chicago.
