On March 28, USAID hosted a roundtable discussion about Haiti with several philanthropic partners. The group discussed the ongoing crisis in Haiti and how to best galvanize additional support from like-minded philanthropic donors at this pivotal moment. USAID is committed to supporting both Haiti’s immediate humanitarian needs and its long-term stability, the latter of which is guided by principles in the Global Fragility Act and the subsequent U.S. Strategy to Prevent Conflict and Promote Stability. Meeting participants noted that donor collaboration is critical in supporting the Haitian people as they work to address their country’s challenges. USAID thanked the participants for their partnership in supporting the people of Haiti.
