Today, Administrator Samantha Power met with Ukrainian Finance Minister Sergii Marchenko to discuss how USAID will continue to support Ukraine’s immediate needs in the wake of Russia’s full-scale invasion, and contribute to Ukraine’s long-term recovery and growth. The Administrator reiterated that USAID will support Ukraine’s work to rebuild critical infrastructure and advance progress on good governance, rule of law, anti-corruption measures, as well as facilitate private sector engagement, and access to finance in Ukraine.

As of June 27, 2023, the U.S. government has provided a total of $18 billion for direct budget support to the Government of Ukraine through the World Bank.
