Press Release

The below is attributable to Spokesperson Rebecca Chalif:‎

On April 2, Administrator Power spoke with Ukraine Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olga Stefanishyna about the humanitarian crisis caused by Putin’s unprovoked war in Ukraine.

Administrator Power and Deputy Prime Minister Stefanishyna discussed the growing need for humanitarian assistance in Ukraine, and efforts to increase coordination among international partners to efficiently reach the most vulnerable populations with assistance. The two also discussed the status on the ground in southern Ukraine, and the critical need for the Kremlin to allow humanitarian corridors throughout the country so that critical supplies can reach people in need and those trapped in besieged cities can evacuate. The Administrator praised the work of Ukrainian civil society who have been working tirelessly to transport and deliver humanitarian assistance throughout Ukraine.
