As part of its commitment to foster the professional development of young individuals, USAID is facilitating internships for youth with local businesses. Adis Vishi, a 19-year-old from Kaçanik municipality, recently concluded an internship at BONEVET Kaçanik, a company dedicated to empowering youth through digital learning. Adis' interest in the field of digital marketing was sparked when he seized one of the opportunities provided in his municipality through USAID's Up to Youth activity.

During his internship, Adis acquired invaluable life and soft skills such as effective communication, teamwork, and leadership. He actively participated in various training sessions, including communication training, initiative design, monitoring and evaluation, and career orientation, which played a crucial role in developing essential job skills that would pave the way for future opportunities. As a result of his career-oriented mindset and the knowledge gained during the internship, Adis secured a full-time position as an account manager at The Dot Agency, a digital marketing company based in Pristina.

"The internship at BONEVET Kaçanik tremendously boosted my employment prospects. Alongside gaining valuable experience during my time there, I was able to enrich my CV with the completed training, which ultimately resulted in a well-rounded profile."

Adis has participated in the USAID Up to Youth activity since late 2020 and is currently a law student while working full-time at The Dot Agency in Prishtina. The Up to Youth activity supported more than 60 young individuals from nine municipalities in Kosovo, enabling them to complete internships with local businesses.
