I have been with PEPFAR since October 2009, supporting multidisciplinary teams as a Senior Technical Advisor at USAID Kenya and East Africa. I oversaw the introduction of technologies that put Kenya at the forefront of HIV treatment advancement, including the design of viral load websites and dashboards that provide results to clients quickly via text message, which has empowered them to follow up on their viral load results more quickly and with ease.
My fondest memory of my work at USAID in PEPFAR is seeing patients who were once bedridden improve and go back to their regular lives. The testimonies of these patients are so touching and give me the motivation to keep moving forward, even when there are challenges.
