USAID’s HIV/AIDS Prevention, Care, and Treatment programming provides a combination of HIV/AIDS medical and technical leadership and expertise to support PEPFAR goals. Our work includes:
- Delivering clinical and program expertise for quality HIV/AIDS services for those in need
- Designing and maintaining HIV/AIDS service delivery programs and platforms with local partners
- Analyzing key medical, social science, and programmatic data for up to date, effective, high impact HIV/AIDS service implementation
- Advancing the medical and scientific knowledge base for HIV prevention, care and treatment that will bring us closer to HIV epidemic control
- Supporting the introduction and scale up of new products and technologies that advance HIV prevention, care and treatment
- Developing integrated, patient-centered care service delivery models to address other common health care needs (primary health care, non-communicable diseases, family planning, STI and co-infection treatment, etc.) for clients supported through USAID programs
- Creating and sustaining strategic partnerships to expand, improve, and maintain HIV prevention, care, and treatment services
- Providing global leadership for HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment policy and guidance
