The Environment and Energy Advisor will provide strategic guidance and technical assistance to the LAC Bureau and to USAIDMissions throughout the LAC region, with a focus on energy programming but also with broader environment-related responsibilities. As an experttechnical resource and thought leader, the Advisor will design, manage, monitor or evaluate projects; provide extensive technical support to regionalfield missions; play a key role in fulfilling budgeting and reporting requirements; draft briefing materials and policy notes; and provide expert adviceto Office and Bureau leadership on relevant policy matters and initiatives. The Advisor will represent Bureau equities to a wide range of internal andexternal stakeholders and may serve as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), Agreement Officer's Representative (AOR), or Activity Managerfor USAID implementing mechanisms. Due to the close ties between clean energy programming and climate change broadly, the Advisor willcontribute to a range of climate-related priorities and work streams that encompass not only clean energy but also climate adaptation, biodiversityconservation and natural climate solutions.
