The annual Local Works competition provides USAID Missions (country offices) with an opportunity to receive additional funding for activities that advance locally led programming in their countries. Following this Guidance, Missions need to submit a letter of interest to apply for the competition. Selected Missions can make awards of up to $2M to “eligible entities” per the program’s legislation.

Letters of Interest are no longer being accepted from USAID Missions.

If you are a local organization interested in working with USAID, please refer to our Unsolicited Solutions for Locally Led Development (US4LLD) program and other USAID funding opportunities here. We also recommend that you regularly refer to SAM.gov, grants.gov, and the USAID business forecast for current and upcoming opportunities. Find more resources and insights at WorkWithUSAID.org.
