During his trip to Nairobi in February, U.S. Senator Cory Booker met YALI Alumna Norah Magero, the creator of the solar-powered VacciBox and founder of Drop Access, Inc. The success of the VacciBox has attracted the attention of several corporate awards for social entrepreneurs and it won the grand prize in the 2022 Cisco Global Problem Solver Challenge. Senator Cory Booker expressed his appreciation for Norah and her team at Drop Access’s effective work. He commended the US government's investments that empower young leaders who drive transformative innovations and initiatives in their communities.
