Forest-dependent communities in Vietnam rely on forest resources and wildlife for income generation, which can be harmful to flora and fauna. USAID supported 17 community organizations who operate conservation-friendly enterprises, producing products like fruit, medicinal plants, and spices, to take part in a week-long trade exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City. These small businesses had the opportunity to exhibit, boost product recognition, access new markets, and cultivate relationships with potential customers and investors at the expo.

Establishing trade connections between the private sector and forest-dependent communities that practice sustainable forestry creates sustainable and dependable incomes while reducing deforestation and biodiversity loss.
