Vietnam has set ambitious clean energy goals, including achieving net zero emissions by 2050, a core objective under Vietnam’s Just Energy Transition Partnership (JET-P). USAID partnered with Ho Chi Minh City to develop a clean energy development strategy aligned with these national goals, outlining an ambitious program to advance the city's clean energy transition harnessing renewable sources, waste-to-energy, and energy efficiency.
The strategy provides a detailed implementation plan for Ho Chi Minh City’s clean energy transition and serves as a roadmap for other cities around the country as they advance their own clean energy transitions.
