On March 14, USAID organized a workshop titled “Gaining a Competitive Edge, Sustaining the Future through the 2024 Vietnam ESG Initiative” in Ho Chi Minh City. The workshop was attended by representatives from 79 small and growing businesses in Ho Chi Minh City and surrounding provinces. Experts shared insights on sustainable development and green transformation, stressing the importance for businesses to adapt to evolving sustainability standards to maintain their competitive edge.
The heightened requirements from international markets, particularly the EU, underscore the urgency for businesses to embrace sound ESG practices. USAID's support to promote ESG practices contributes to the country's sustainable development goals, fostering economic growth while ensuring environmental and social responsibility.
