Beginning March 19 and continuing to April 24, USAID’s Inclusion - I project is coordinating with six district health facilities in Quang Tri and Quang Nam provinces to provide health checks for 1,000 persons with disabilities. For those who need daily care, the medical team will make an assessment and develop an individual care plan. It is estimated that 330 cases will be transferred to the USAID-supported ‘Transition House’ for further assessment and assistance to improve their daily living functions, including providing home-based care services where necessary.

By providing direct services to persons with disabilities and building Vietnam’s public service delivery system, USAID strengthens the inclusion and participation in society of the most vulnerable populations — contributing to their improved quality of life.
