On February 27 in Hanoi, USAID Bureau for Management Deputy Assistant Administrator (DAA) Samir Goswami visited the Selex Motors factory, which manufactures electric scooters and batteries. This followed two other recent visits, one by Scott Nathan, the Chief Executive Officer of the United States International Development Finance Corporation, and one by Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen.

USAID is working with Selex Motors to expand their operations and install battery swapping stations in other major cities in Vietnam. DAA Samir and the CEO of Selex Motors discussed electric vehicle growth in Vietnam and its contribution to Vietnam’s climate change goals.
