Children with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Vietnam have limited opportunities to play because of discrimination, and a lack of accessible spaces and appropriate activities. USAID held a series of disability-friendly summer activities in Quang Tri, Hue, and Quang Nam for over three hundred children and their caregivers who participated in swimming and creative art activities.
Supporting community activities that are accessible for children with disabilities raises public awareness on the challenges that these children face, fostering a more inclusive community.
