Policy implementation to improve economic and social development in Vietnam takes place at the provincial level and below. For this to be effective, Vietnam’s national government needs to strengthen provinces’ ability to address social, economic, and environmental issues. On November 20, USAID awarded the Local Capacity Development (LCD) project to Creative Associates International. LCD is a five-year, $20 million project to provide technical assistance to Vietnam to strengthen the capacity of and engagement between local governments and the national government.
Building and strengthening the links between the national government and local governments will improve the delivery of public services, benefiting marginalized and underrepresented groups in Vietnam.
*Note: This project will launch in Vietnam after obtaining project approval from the Government of Vietnam.
