On World Environment Day (June 5), with USAID support, Fulbright University Vietnam conducted the first ASEAN Social Impact Program with around 100 Vietnamese youth from 34 universities coming together to advance “Zero Waste” practices. As the winning proposal, the 4V Vietnam project team organized a widely-publicized “Layers of Hanoi” exhibition, showcasing artwork created from recycled fabric waste to promote environmental awareness, while celebrating Vietnam’s cultural beauty. So what? The program equips young changemakers across Vietnam with necessary knowledge, skills, and resources to tackle social issues. The success of the project exemplifies how youth-led innovation can promote sustainable development and foster a greener future for their communities.
