Community-based care is essential for persons with disabilities, particularly those with significant disabilities, who are facing difficulty in accessing local health clinics. Between July 27–30, USAID’s INCLUSION-I activity provided six training courses on care skills and basic rehabilitation techniques for 120 caregivers at both the community and home levels in Hue City, Phong Dien and Phu Vang districts, Thua Thien – Hue province. After the training, caregiver trainees will develop care plans for the persons with disabilities they care for in order to improve the support they provide for daily living functions.

With support from USAID, community and home-based caregivers are improving their knowledge and skills for facilitating daily living functions for persons with disabilities.
