USAID Supports Implementation of Vietnam’s National Power Development Plan (PDP-8)

On April 1, the Government of Vietnam (GVN) finalized the long-awaited PDP-8 implementation plan, providing a roadmap for priority investments in Vietnam’s power system. USAID worked closely with GVN counterparts to identify technical, legal, and institutional assistance that will be required to implement the plan.

The finalization of the implementation plan is a crucial step in advancing Vietnam’s clean energy transition, including its ambitious net-zero emissions targets by 2050.
