The National Public Service Portal (NPSP), launched in late 2019, marked a major milestone in Vietnam’s E-government development efforts. Although NPSP, the national single sign-on portal for all public services in Vietnam, plays a vital role in the digitization process of public services, its operation needs to be significantly improved to accelerate the uptake rates needed to meet the country’s ambitious targets for digitizing all public services by 2030. USAID is supporting Vietnam on this challenging task through its E-government Capacity Building Program. To meet the target of full digitization by 2030, the Prime Minister issues an annual Decision identifying the public services to be prioritized for digitization and integration into the NPSP that year. USAID supported the Office of the Government to identify the 24 public services in the Prime Minister's April 4th Decision to be digitized and connected to the NPSP in 2022. USAID will continue its support of the country’s E-government deployment by helping Vietnam to monitor digitization progress through data analytics, supporting technical  improvements for the NPSP,  and conducting trainings for government officials and end users to ensure the smooth uptake of E-government in the country.

USAID’s support for Vietnam’s successful operation of its National e-government platform will improve access to information and reduce red tape, benefitting both citizens and businesses.
