Through the Growth, Enterprise, Employment, and Livelihoods (GEEL) project, USAID has supported more than 50 Somali fishing companies to stabilize catch rates, improve economic return, and streamline internationally-accepted processing and hygiene standards through technical assistance, trainings, and export market linkages.
