KEYLEE TARRILLO, INTERN AT THE HEALTH PREVENTORIUM : LA ENSENADA

In Peru, private universities pay for the pre-professional practices of their students in health careers. Here, we are allowed to do internships free of charge. In a space of respect and equity between professionals, students and patients. But the most important thing is that we are given the opportunity to help the most vulnerable population.

SARA VILCHEZ, PATIENT AT THE HEALTH PREVENTORIUM : LA ENSENADA

I was diagnosed with arthritis. Unfortunately I didn't pay attention to it.  Arthritis began to affect my quality of life. However, I arrived at the “UPN Health Preventorium”. Free of charge, I have received physical and nutritional therapy. I started adopting healthier eating habits and exercising regularly. I feel motivated, I have managed to lose 54 kilos. I am learning to deal with pain through massage, cold packs, and exercise.

USAID, IPAE, RPP AND AFMDP RECOGNIZE HEALTH PREVENTORIUM LA ENSENADA AS ONE OF THE "COMPANIES THAT TRANSFORM" FOR PROMOTING HEALTH IN VULNERABLE POPULATIONS

Educational institutions have enormous potential to help the population, I would like this experience to motivate other universities to have their own preventoriums.
