Today, Administrator Samantha Power spoke with UN World Food Program (WFP) Executive Director Cindy McCain to discuss ongoing efforts to accelerate the pace of humanitarian assistance into Gaza during the humanitarian pause, and how USAID and WFP are working together to respond to the immense needs.
Administrator Power expressed her deep appreciation for WFP’s efforts in Gaza, including staff on the ground putting their lives at risk to provide life-saving aid under the most challenging circumstances. Administrator Power reaffirmed the U.S. commitment to reaching civilians in Gaza affected by the conflict.
