On Wednesday, June 8, 2022, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Pacific Council on International Policy will convene a panel discussion on the sidelines of the Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles to highlight rising food insecurity in the Western Hemisphere and opportunities for building more sustainable, equitable, and resilient food systems throughout the region.
The panel will feature the perspectives of leaders from government, civil society, the private sector, and multilateral institutions, and USAID Administrator Samantha Power will offer new details and commitments for how the Biden-Harris Administration is working to address the impact of the global food crisis in Latin America and the Caribbean.
