Today, Administrator Samantha Power met with UN Senior Humanitarian and Reconstruction Coordinator for Gaza Sigrid Kaag. Administrator Power underscored the strong U.S. support for Senior Coordinator Kaag, and the U.S. commitment to working closely with the Senior Coordinator and her team to significantly increase and accelerate desperately-needed assistance to the civilian population of Gaza.
Administrator Power and UN Senior Coordinator Kaag also discussed urgent shared priorities including efforts to address severe levels of food insecurity, improve deconfliction, and expand commercial activity in Gaza.
