USAID Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman will lead the United States delegation to the International Conference on Climate Resilient Pakistan on January 9 in Geneva, Switzerland. She will be accompanied by the State Department’s Director of the Office of Foreign Assistance Dr. Dafna Rand.
During her trip, the Deputy Administrator will advance the U.S. government’s commitment to support Pakistan following the devastating 2022 floods. She will also meet with Pakistani government and international community counterparts to discuss shared priorities and increase support for continued flood recovery efforts. USAID has a long history of standing with Pakistan when disaster strikes, helping Pakistanis prepare for and recover from severe climate shocks, stave off disease, feed their families, and rebuild their lives. Deputy Administrator Coleman will reinforce this close partnership with the Pakistani people at the Conference.
