Today, Administrator Samantha Power joined Secretary of State Antony Blinken in a trilateral meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Brussels. During the meeting, the United States and the EU reaffirmed support for Armenia’s democratic reform efforts and discussed new commitments to strengthen democracy, build economic diversification and resilience, and support those displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh in September 2023.

Administrator Power announced during the trilateral that, working with Congress, USAID would provide new commitments dedicated to supporting the needs and aspirations of the Armenian people. These funds will support economic growth and democratic institutions, food security, digital transformation and cyber resilience, regional integration, and the displaced population in Armenia.
