The Kosovo electricity Transmission, System, and Market Operator (KOSTT) joined the #Each4Equal campaign.  As part of the worldwide campaign, KOSTT showcased the leading women of the utility company and their efforts for gender equality.

#EachforEqual, the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day, recognized gender equality as the key for thriving economies and communities.  KOSTT featured five personal stories, which included women in management, finance, and engineering.  The featured women discussed the obstacles they face as women in the energy sector and how overcoming these challenges makes them stronger.  They also shared their inspirational messages for the young girls of Kosovo.

Women hold one third of the managerial positions in KOSTT and a quarter of the electrical engineers are women.  KOSTT participates in USAID’s Engendering Utilities global program, and its participation in the #EachforEqual campaign was an additional opportunity for KOSTT to showcase its commitment to women's economic empowerment.
