On Wednesday, January 27, the University of the West Indies, Mona, signaled its partnership with Jamaica's Ministry of Health and Wellness, signing an MOU that governs cooperation to achieve the aims of the USAID-funded Health Connect Jamaica (HCJ).
USAID launched a three year US$4 million Jamaica Energy Resilience Alliance.

USAID provided financial and technical support to help YFDN access both human and financial resources for its programs, develop branding and marketing plans to promote the work of the organization, and establish a monitoring and evaluation system to measure its programs’ transformative impact on the lives of youth. The organization began to thrive, reaching 1,000 youth since its partnership with USAID.

Together, USAID and JAD developed a Jamaican Sign Language Grammar Curriculum, designed to teach Jamaican Sign Language as an independent subject in schools for the deaf, focusing in particular on students in grades 1–13.

Kristofferson started his company, University College Ambassadors (UCA) Jamaica. His concept: a youth marketing and job placement agency connecting university and vocational students with corporate Jamaica.
