Baghdad, Iraq – Iraqi food and last-mile delivery service Alsaree3 raised over $4 million in 2021 thanks to advisory support from the Tahfeez program, funded by the United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID).  USAID support connected Alsaree3 with new investors and supported the company in finalizing the investment process, resulting in Alsaree3 raising over 1,000,000 in fundraising in late December from investors based in Iraq and across the Middle East and North Africa.

Established in 2018, Alsaree3 is a pioneering last-mile delivery service operating across Iraq through Al-Zajel express. This major fundraising milestone, made possible through USAID support, will help Alsaree3 continue to accelerate its organic growth and better deliver the large number of restaurant orders which still occur offline in Baghdad and expand the company’s new grocery delivery offering.
