A Coffee Entrepreneur Re-Introduces True Javan Coffee to the World

Ivan Hartanto is on a mission to bring premium Javan coffee to the world. With his partners, he is showing Indonesian coffee farmers how to produce high quality beans for export—raising their incomes by up to 10 percent. Ivan’s company, Belift Green Beans, received an investment from the Indonesia Coffee Enterprise Resilience Initiative, a partnership between USAID, RootCapital, and Keurig Dr Pepper.

“I asked, ‘What value can I bring?’ We decided to focus our attention on bringing more value to the Indonesian farmers,” said Ivan. “Let’s sell quality Indonesian coffee and make a positive impact in Indonesia.”
