The United States to Provide $85 million for Escalating Humanitarian Needs for the Türkiye and Syria Earthquakes Response

The United States, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), will provide $85 million in urgent humanitarian assistance as the Agency continues to lead the U.S. government response to the worst earthquake to hit the region in nearly a century. USAID’s Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) mobilized hours after the earthquakes, and our top priority is ramping up search and rescue operations for those trapped in the rubble.
