Administrator Power Travels to Egypt - December 2023
Administrator Samantha Power will travel to meet with local officials and Egyptian and international humanitarian organizations working to accelerate the pace of vitally needed assistance into Gaza. During her visit, the Administrator will reiterate the United States’ commitment to the protection of civilians, consistent with international humanitarian law, and the absolute necessity for humanitarian supplies crossing into Gaza to continue at and exceed the levels reached during the humanitarian pause.

USAID has activated a Disaster Assistance Response Team to coordinate U.S. relief efforts and strengthen the humanitarian system for the West Bank and Gaza with our USAID Mission staff on the ground.
