Ms. Pryor is Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Middle East Bureau with responsibility for the Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and Middle East Technical Support portfolios. She joined the Middle East Bureau as the Director of the Office of Middle East Affairs (Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, West Bank/Gaza, and Egypt) in 2016 and became an acting Deputy Assistant Administrator in 2017.

Ms. Pryor is also formerly the Deputy Executive Director of USAID’s COVID-19 Task Force in 2020. In 2016, she graduated from the National War College with a Masters in National Security Studies. Prior to the War College, she was the Director for the Office of Afghanistan Affairs from 2011-2015 and Deputy Director for the Office of Iraq Reconstruction from 2005 to 2010.

Ms. Pryor was the Team Leader for Afghanistan from 9/11/2001 to 2005. In the 1990s, Ms. Pryor worked in the Office of East Africa Affairs, first as a Program Analyst and then as a Desk Officer on the Horn of Africa.

She received a Masters in International Affairs from the American University and a Bachelors degree from DePaul University.
