Last year, USAID supported Vietnam’s Ministry of Health in identifying reforms to the national rehabilitation system in line with international best practice promoted under the World Health Organization’s Rehabilitation Initiative 2030. On May 24, the Prime Minister directed the Ministry to begin implementation of identified reforms through the Rehabilitation Development Plan for period 2023-2030 and vision to 2050.
The policy reforms strengthen Vietnam's rehabilitation system and improve access to rehabilitation services to meet the needs of persons with disabilities.
