In Vietnam, in order for a person with disabilities to receive government benefits, officials must determine the nature of a disability, the corresponding benefits, and issue a disability certificate. USAID worked with the Government of Vietnam on a new policy which makes this process easier and more effective.
This policy will allow millions of persons with disabilities to receive a disability certificate so that they can apply for benefits such as financial support, educational services, vocational training, and healthcare.
