On January 26, USAID and Danang city signed an MOU on expanding development cooperation to promote innovative solutions in economic growth; clean energy and energy efficiency, environmental protection and climate change response; health; and human resource development. This MOU with Vietnam’s third largest city builds on already-established cooperation in the areas of clean energy, pollution reduction, higher education, and assisting people with disabilities, and will contribute to Danang’s goals for human resource development and green economic growth. This MOU represents further cooperation from the United States in assisting Vietnam to achieve its sustainable development goals in line with the U.S.-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, announced in September 2023.
