With USAID Support, Vietnam National University’s Medical School Receives ASEAN Accreditation

Following USAID support to reform medical education, the School of Medicine at Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City received its first ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) standards medical training program accreditation. Receiving AUN-QA accreditation requires high standards for learning outcomes, curriculum, faculty, and infrastructure and cements the school’s application of international standards and best practices in curricula to yield world-class practitioners.

Through USAID assistance, Vietnam is building a stronger and more resilient workforce, prepared to tackle future health challenges and threats, and enhance health security in the country and in the region.
