The United States, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), has established the Agriculture Resilience Initiative Ukraine (AGRI-Ukraine) to increase Ukrainian agriculture exports, alleviating the global food security crisis exacerbated by the Russia’s war on Ukraine. Developed in partnership with Ukraine’s Ministry of Agrarian and Food Policy, AGRI-Ukraine targets immediate and longer-term agricultural production and urgent export challenges, while supporting Ukraine’s wider agricultural sector.

USAID has contributed $100 million and seeks to leverage an additional $150 million for the initiative from fellow donors and the private sector, with an overall target of $250 million.

Bolstering the entire agricultural sector safeguards this economic engine for future generations of Ukrainians and the world.
