The U.S. Agency for International Development announces the launch of a three-year, $2.28 million dollars peacebuilding activity on September 28, 2023, in Sierra Leone.

This activity will help prevent and mitigate politically-motivated violence through people-to-people peacebuilding approaches in five Districts in Sierra Leone. These efforts ultimately aim to empower women and youth so they are recognized as leaders and peacebuilders, and actively contribute to strengthening the foundations of peace at local and national levels.

The project demonstrates the U.S. Government’s commitment to support Sierra Leoneans in their effort to promote democracy and human rights through sustainable peace and stability.
