Today, Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman met with Members of Ukraine’s Parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, led by Chair of the Committee on Anti-Corruption Policy Anastasia Radina. They discussed USAID’s active partnership with Ukraine to further advance the country’s reform agenda and achieve shared priorities during wartime. 

Deputy Administrator Coleman reiterated the U.S. government’s ongoing commitment to support Ukraine during its fight against Russian aggression. The parties discussed the Verkhovna Rada’s progress in enacting good governance and anti-corruption reforms, including asset declarations and the strengthening of the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO), and exchanged views on the prioritization of various reform efforts. Deputy Administrator Coleman stressed that continuing reforms that advance transparency and rule of law are essential, and highlighted that USAID remains committed to supporting the Ukrainian Parliament and civil society during this process.
