On October 4, Administrator Samantha Power met with Apple CEO Tim Cook to explore how USAID and Apple can work together to support Ukraine’s critical infrastructure amid the war. They also reviewed Ukraine’s technological modernization efforts that have established the country as a digital trailblazer, including through the Diia app, and discussed how to further support e-governance progress in Ukraine and other countries.
Administrator Power and Cook also discussed the potential for partnerships in support of addressing shared development challenges, such as support for burgeoning democracies, enhancing educational opportunities, capacity building for governments, and trade integration.
