Traditional beekeeping practices inhibit honey producers in Chajul, Quiché from achieving profitable production levels. We assist farmers with inputs and training in hive division, a method of multiplying colonies. Farmers like Rosa Caba, from the community of Sotzil, have increased their bee population thanks to the hive division technique along with better apiary management practices. We are assisting families in achieving better agronomic practices and apiary management techniques, providing families with alternatives to thrive and flourish in their communities.
